Through the process of electrolysis, your tap water becomes Active Hydrogen(OH-) rich Kangen Water®.

Micro-clustered
A water molecule (H2O) comprises of two atoms of hydrogen and one atom of oxygen. Water is obtained in a cluster of molecules, not as a single molecule. The tap water that we receive at our abode has a large cluster of about 13 molecules. These large clusters of water eliminate the longing to drink water. Due to these large clustered water molecules in case of tap water, the body will no longer feel the need to drink water. However, the micro-clustered water has a smaller cluster of about 5 molecules. This water is better because of its exquisite solubility, permeability and hydration properties.
Negative ORP
Active Hydrogen rich water is characterized by exhibiting a negative ORP. A high ORP value (in positive numbers), indicates that a substance has a higher oxidizing potential. In generalized terms, for humans a positive or high ORP is better for the outside of the body (cleaning and sanitizing).

Alkaline
As with most things in life, optimal health begins with balance. Our bodies must maintain a pH balance of 7.365, which is slightly alkaline. A pH scale is used to determine whether a substance is acidic or alkaline. On this scale 7.0 is neutral. Anything above 7 is considered alkaline and anything below 7 is considered acidic.

Step 1: Filtration

The filtered water moves through several electrode plates and membranes, separating into acidic and alkaline parts. It is split into OH- (hydroxid ions) and H+ (hydrogen ions). The hydrogen ions react with electrons given by the cathode (– charged electrode), forming H2, molecular Hydrogen. Hydroxid ions remain, making the water more alkaline around the cathode. Conversely, close to the anode (+ charged electrode), hydroxid ions give electrons to the anode, eventually forming O2 (Oxygen). Hydrogen ions remain, making the water more acidic around the anode. The two kinds of water are separated by membranes and released through different hoses.
